Our voluntary Board members bring significant and wide-ranging skills and experience to their roles as Board Directors. Together, they are committed to providing engaging supports for individuals with disability, to achieve their needs and aspirations. They work alongside the Executive Team to provide leadership, strategic direction and good governance.

Steve Malin

Chair

Steve Malin joined the Board in 2018 and became Board Chair in February 2019. He is a member of the Finance Committee and the Performance and Remuneration Committee. Steve is a Portfolio Manager and investment research specialist with Vinva Investment Management. He brings significant business, management, and finance experience. Steve鈥檚 son attends 澳门彩 Specialist School.

Annet van Kesteren

Deputy Chair

Annet joined the Board in 2019 and brings more than 20 years of professional experience in a variety of disciplines including management, internal audit, financial accounting, and accounts payable. Annet is the Board Deputy Chair and Chair or the Finance Committee. She is also on the board of the Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in Sydney and organises the newsletter and events for the Branch.

Annette Waterson

Board Director

Annette joined the Board in 2017 and is Chair of the Performance and Remuneration Committee and a member of the Finance Committee. Annette has a background in the finance and banking sectors. She has held management and executive positions in major banks over the past 45 years demonstrating skills in people management and retail banking. Annette is a committed member of the Greater Hills Rotary Club and plays an active role in supporting fundraising activities for 澳门彩.

Ralph Forbes

Board Director

Ralph originally qualified as a Registered Nurse for the Mentally Handicapped in Scotland in 1990 and has more than 35 years of experience working in the health and disability sectors.

He was involved in the devolvement of the large residential institutions for people with disabilities聽 and in establishing some of the first community-based residential disability services in both Scotland and in Australia. He worked for NSW Health for 25 years, including as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Disability, Quality and Risk Manager and Manager of Consumer and Community Partnerships.

He is a certified health and disability quality auditor, and worked as an independent contractor assessing NDIS service providers nationally against the NDIS Practice Standards as part of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Program.

He remains currently registered as a Registered Nurse in New South Wales.

Rowena Dudgeon

Board Director

Rowena joined the Board in 2024 and has had a 25+ year career in education and has held several executive leadership positions in some of Australia鈥檚 leading schools. Her last appointment was as the Deputy Head at Shore School in North Sydney. Rowena worked extensively in the student wellbeing area and led large teams in developing safe and nurturing environments for students. She has also been the Director of Staff Research and Development at MLC Melbourne and has led curriculum teams as Deputy Head 鈥 Academics at Wenona and Roseville College. Rowena was also the Head of Boarding at Pymble Ladies鈥 College and teacher of Geography for eleven years.

Utilising her key management skills, interest in environmental science and leading teams, Rowena branched out in a new direction in 2023 and is now the Business Manager and Director of Blackash Bushfire Consulting, an environmental consulting company that advises private and government clients to plan, develop and build in bushfire prone areas.

Jag Dhaliwal

Board Director

Jag is an Actuary and Company Director qualified by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.听 His wide ranging experience covers governance, corporate finance, Australian regulations and legislation, with achievements in senior management, supervisory and actuarial roles.

He has been responsible for providing clarity around strategic direction and goals, harnessing innovative thinking and collaborative problem solving and committed to evaluating decisions and outcomes impacting the Australian community with integrity and distinction for Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Senior Executives.

Jag has a focus on community leadership and commitment to the Australian community, as well as engagement with culturally diverse and emerging communities, improved health and aged care solutions and prevention of violence and harm against women

In addition, he is a Director of the Mind Connections Foundation and Hills Community Aid, focusing on improving the community鈥檚 mental health and well-being through awareness programmes and research. He also actively volunteers as a Community Partner for White Ribbon Australia, for Anglicare, the Salvation Army, and The Kids Cancer Project.

Kerry Taylor

Board Director

Kerry joined the Board in 2023 and is a member of the Property Committee. Kerry is a Construction Manager with over 20 years of experience in the property sector, delivering a variety of projects. She brings design, project management, and strategic financial management expertise.
